Evergreen Features

As of version 2.0, Evergreen consists of all of the core ILS modules including:

 

  • acquisitions
  • serials
  • circulation
  • cataloging
  • public catalog (OPAC)
  • reporting

 

There have also been numerous enhancements to the following areas:

 

  • patron registration
  • item checkout
  • self check
  • item checkin
  • holds
  • staff interface
  • patron's My Account
  • OPAC
  • billing, collections, and fines/fees
  • triggered events and notices
  • acquisitions

Demo servers with the most current version of Evergreen (2.1) are available at http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=community_servers#community_demo_servers or watch this 5-minute screencast (version 1.6).

Hundreds of libraries have installed Evergreen. 167 libraries selected Evergreen in 2010 alone (according to the 2010 ILS Turnover Report pulled from lib-web-cats data.)
